Week 9 also saw Primary Schools Swimming event being held at the Selwyn Aquatic Centre. With a massive 651 individuals from 138 schools participating from all over the Canterbury & West Coast regions, it was a busy day!

This year we had our West Coast schools well represented at the event, of the schools mentioned above 12 of these were from across the divide with 34 individuals competing.

Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu, a correspondence school was also represented at the event. It is great to see a variety of schools entering in these events and giving their students the opportunity to participate.

Thank you to those that volunteered throughout the day, it would not be possible to run these events without this support!

The amazing team from Swimming Canterbury West Coast were on board again and did another amazing job in running the pool.

We always strive to run our events to the best of our ability! We appreciate all of the feedback we have received.

This will be reviewed over the coming weeks, and we look forward to improving the quality and engagement of these events in the future!
