Last week saw the start of Term 2 Winter Weekly, over 5000 tamariki from 67 intermediate and primary schools will be participating across the three days each week at a variety of venues around Christchurch.

Winter Weekly offers 11 different sports including Badminton and Table Tennis alongside our major sporting codes. Rugby and Netball have had two new grades added with Girls Sevens, and Mixed/Boys Fast Five being involved this year. It was great last week to see teams out there giving these grades a go and it looked like some fast-paced action!

These afternoons do not go ahead without work behind the scenes from our amazing Sports Co-ordinators at each school so a massive thank you to them for their work getting teams out and about!

We are very thankful for the support from our venues each week, Zhu Badminton Centre, Table Tennis Canterbury, Christ College, Christchurch Netball Centre and the Christchurch City Council.

We look forward to seeing you all out there enjoying sport for the rest of the term, and hopefully into next Terms Winter Weekly as well!
